This gracious pre-war period homes has been tastefully renovated to perfection, retaining the integrity of its era, which gives this vintage home so much charm and timeless appeal; you will absolutely fall in live with this gorgeous residence…
Situated in the heart of Gympie, the previous owners had dressed the property immaculately for the new owner to fall in love and fall in love did they ever! Attracting over 40 property inspections across the four week auction campaign, competition was fiercely created in the early weeks with a multitude of offers submitted in attempt to secure the property ahead of auction day. The eventual story of the buyers is surely one to behold.
“The buyers were an elderly couple that haven’t retired and were looking to downsize, they’re macadamia farmers from Long Flat, a farming town just outside of Gympie,” Mr Sykes said.
“Jeff is 97 years of age and still works on his farm seven days a week. They said its now probably time to downsize! Jeff and Ursula are the most beautiful, lovely people so we’re very happy for them and their new home.
“It was a fantastic online auction. The very respectful under-bidder was gracious in defeat and typed into the google chat ‘Congratulations!’ when Jeff and Ursula won. It was a great campaign – I said I wanted a full comprehensive marketing campaign with print media and the like – we had so many people coming through the open homes.”
“The buyers’ son actually saw the property in our window and mentioned it to them and they had already seen it in the Gympie Times local paper.”
